So obviously the blog part of this blog is pretty dead. If you wanna to know what I’m up to, look over to the right to facebook, instagram, text me or whatever – better yet, call me up and let’s just go drive around and listen to metal and talk.
DB (but here are a couple recent things anyway)
Brisbane Fringe Festival ‘Dive Bar’ was super. A homemade pool table with lots of beer and strong potential for disaster. Thanks to everyone who showed up. No injuries or cops, only smiles, you guys are super.
New font coming soon!! You all need this in your life. 2 weights, 3 versions of each character, even weirdass eastern European ones!! FUN.
Here’s a short little jam I made in a town I fell in love with called Woolgoolga on the way up to Brisbane. It’s a soot sprite from Totoro made by Cat Rabbit vs. the ‘robot scorpion bodyguard’ Jake made me as a guardian for my drive, shot on location in the wreck of the HMS Buster. All that almost makes up for the fact that I had no plan and don’t know how to do stop motion.
Then this is the animation from the workshop I did with Jake’s school class. The kids made the characters one week and we animated them the next. There were 3 classes with between 20 – 25 kids each. We only had 30 minutes per class, but the lil’ guys did such a great job of concentrating and they all pretty much instantly got the whole concept so we were able to get through it all in time.
Dig their characters too!!! I could never get tired of kids’ art…
Here’s me & Jake’s Loop from last month – unfortunately he got sick and we couldn’t complete the guy morphing into a mutated spider. Currently working on backgrounds for a new show coming out on Channel 10 in the fall. That’s it, back to not updating this blog ever.
