So a while back UPSO asked me to do a shirt for Threadless Select and I wanted to make it something a little more than ’some stuff I drew that ended up on a tshirt.’ My idea was to make ‘MY FAVORITE SHIRT,’ based on my actual favorite shirt, which is this Guinness beer shirt I’ve had for so long it’s as thin as toilet paper and full of holes.

I love the iconography on beer labels and I especially love all the feelgood gibberish they write on them: ‘A taste that’s rich and smooth yet as bold as the ram on its label,’ ‘our brewing process has evolved over many decades and its like no other in the world,’ ‘Slowly aged in Louisiana Cypress wood barrels, brewed with crystal clear water, genuine barley malt, choice hops, select grains, blah blah blah,’ I love it. Totally love it.

I even got them to go for printing the ovals in gold foil for extra cold filtered smoothness. If just one person relaxes down by the river this summer with this shirt on it would beechwood age my day.

The first 15 sold come with a ‘Certificate of Awesometicity’ and a couple of stickers.

Just need to update here with the fact that we have moved to Australia. That’s pretty much all I have to say right now, except for check out how rad poodles look with face cages.

Update - Sooooo stoked to be a member of Club Mumble! ‘09 is starting off awesome so far and it’s still even the day before.
So I met up with Simon for an end of year sesh yesterday.

Got to skate with Manabu from Infection.

And just generally tore skateboarding a new radhole - shit was epic, see you again in ‘09 guys. Oh wait - Simon sends in five minutes of pixellated youtube documentation. Don’t watch that before you have to do anything important, you won’t be able to concentrate with your eyes bleeding from such intense shredding.

Update 12/6 - I just want to publicly point out that I have listened to the entirety of Metallica’s good albums at ear splitting volume this afternoon and drawn great inspiration therefrom.

So I’ve never been much of a sketchbook guy but lately I have been having fun screwing around at the coffee shop while maintaining the boy. Sometimes he sucks on the end of the bag I keep my pencils in and it makes the lead all soggy and gross.

So this year is now 11/12ths over without an update to the ol site. But I’m working on it.
This is just a quick post to let everyone know to go check out the Kewday promo video at Thrasher, it really brings the stoke. And I solemnly swear to send a case of beer to the first one of you who gets a photo on one of my decks. Also look at the new System Magazine. Plus Dave just wrote me and it seems they are gonna make an Underskatement dvd and I’ll have something in it. OK that’s it, I gotta get back to not updating the internet.

Man, sometimes something comes along and you just get that old feeling again. I have all these old skate mags and came across this on the toilet this morning. Some dude in Australia named Justin Cox from the June ‘91 Transworld - wherever you are today bro, I salute you.

Starting in on the next Gabba animation, this one is directed by Ron Cameron! Plus I went and had some beers with Sora from the Gimmies and petted his 21 year old cat and talked about this other animation idea of mine so today is shaping up to be a good day.

And holy crap, speaking of animation and being stoked, do yourself a solid and check out Mr. Joel’s new jam . Seriously.

Wrapping up my first animation for Yo Gabba Gabba these days, I got to animate the awesome art of Elio. I think it came out great, thanks guys for everything!!

Other than that am trying to stay cool with the little dude strapped to my chest (he’s on there right now), so freakin’ hot and sweaty these days, just makes me want so much beer.

Also, I’m no longer selling the prints below through here, I am going to bundle the rest in with a tshirt I have coming out soon through this one new place that hasn’t opened up yet. Oh, and I started a flickr page with all the dumb pics from my phone camera, add me if you’re on there!
